Music Photography

Music is a world where sound and imagination move in time.  If you stop that movement, and show only an instant of that time, can there be anything left of the music?  As it turns out, there can be a lot of music in a photograph.  All of that motion and all of that sound begin with imagination, which means that they begin with a person, making music.  When you see a musician, in performance or in rehearsal or just in some found moment, or even if you just see the beautiful and unexpected shapes and textures of an instrument that makes music, a picture can actually show you quite a bit of the music that an artist imagines.
